As a result of that we now get daily customer support emails from people wanting to know why their NG uploads don't work in Geometry Dash. We had to disable downloading for all non-scouted artists to curb the misuse. Designers began treating Newgrounds as a file dump for their Geometry Dash levels and ever since our mod team has been working overtime to remove illegal uploads. There have been some unintended consequences, however.Īs a result of Geometry Dash, NG experienced a huge uptick in stolen music uploads.
Geometry Dash allows users to create their own levels using music from the Newgrounds Audio Portal, which is great because the Audio Portal is a vast resource and helps promote individual artists on NG.
